WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL THERAPY?

 

Nutritional therapists look at the person as a whole. We aim to identify and treat the root cause of the problem rather than focus on only treating the symptoms. Many ongoing health concerns such as digestive issues, skin problems, fatigue or hormonal imbalances are often interconnected rather than isolated, so by looking at nutrition, lifestyle, stress and environment we can begin to develop a clearer picture of what your body needs to regain vitality and optimal health.

 

People are unique and I provide personalised one-to-one support which is designed to help you understand your health and to create meaningful, lasting change. Working together we take the time to explore your health and lifestyle in detail, and this is done in a way that isn’t overwhelming or impossible to achieve.

CONSULTATIONS AND WHAT IS INVOLVED

You will be required to complete a detailed health and lifestyle questionnaire and a food diary before the initial consultation.

This form covers the symptoms you would like to discuss, your medical history and questions about your current health. We will discuss this in more detail during our initial consultation which helps me develop a personalised specific nutrition and lifestyle plan for you. I also take into account any interactions for medicines/supplements you may be taking. 

In follow-ups/check-ins we'll discuss how you're finding the plan and what you find easy or difficult, we'll assess your progress and refine your plan. Follow-ups normally occur every 3 weeks to allow time to see change but it can vary depending on what package you are on. I'll also be in touch regularly to check-in and to help keep you motivated and on track.

Supplements may be recommended to help address any short-term nutrient deficiencies whilst you work through your programme. Tests with your doctor or any science-backed functional testing may also be recommended (this is optional but can be helpful depending on what your issue is) and interpretation of any test results will be discussed with you in follow-ups.

This 6-week starter package is for those who either need a reset, have a short-term minor health goal or need some guidance on how to optimise your diet.

  • 1 x 60 minute initial consultation

  • 1 x 30 minute plan-implementation call

  • 1 x 30 minute follow-up call

  • Initial bespoke plan

  • Refining of plan if need be after follow-ups

  • Available for ongoing text and email support during this time

  • Regular check-ins

This 12-week (3 months) programme allows more time to see sustainable and realistic improvements so are useful for those who have more chronic symptoms (such as gut or hormonal) that need investigating.

  • 1 x 60 minute initial consultation

  • 4 x 30 minute follow-up calls 

  • Initial bespoke plan 

  • Refining of plan if need be after follow-ups

  • Available for ongoing text and email support during this time

  • Regular check-ins

  • Must be used within 5 months

This 24 weeks (6 months) programme is good for those with more specific long-term needs and complex conditions that need the extra support, attention and time.

  • Refining of plan if need be after follow-ups

  • Available for ongoing text and email support during this time

  • Regular check-ins

  • Must be used within 8 months
